THINGS TO DO
The house is located on Lake Canda and a short 2 min walk from beach. Ideal place for the following activies:
Low tide there is a visible reef which leaves a nice calm and safe swimming area in front. Long stretch of beach. At Paradise Palms you have the best of both worlds lake and sea, which provides more than enough opportunity for outdoor activities.
Try some fly fishing at the Lake or catch a big one from the beach. Large King Fish of 28kg and Barracuda of 18kg have been caught from the beach. Popular bait are crayfish and prawn. Locals do come to the house from time to time to sell crayfish or when it's low tide go to the beach where you will find a local selling his catch of the day.
Surrounding area;
Maxixe is +- 175km from Chissibuca and well worth the drive. The road in a good condition. It's a scenic drive passing the beautiful lake Quissico and also Inharrime. At Quissico there are plenty of stalls along the road to do some shopping.
At Maxixe you can take a ferry to Inhambane or drive by car. Maxixe has a lovely restaurant called "STOP", which has a beautiful view and well worth trying. Friendly service and good food. Remember when planning your journey to Maxixe, all the shops close between 12h00 and 14h00. Large market for shopping.
Tofo is 30 min drive from Inhambane and not to be missed out on, book a dive with whale sharks, deep sea fishing, surfing or horseriding or just enjoy the stunning beach. There are plenty of restuarants in the area: Dinos Bar, Threads, Turtle Cove, Casa de Comer, Waterworks Cafe and Mundos.
